Trisara’s dedication to holistic wellness reaches new heights through an exclusivecollaboration with renowned visiting practitioner David Melladew, L.AC. From 1January to 15 February 2025, David will bring his exceptional expertise to JARAWellbeing, offering personalised treatments that aim to harmonise the mind, body, and spirit.

Montara’s Tri Vananda in Phuket clubs these with a sustainable luxury-living approach and materials and design choices that aim to accelerate its carbon-neutral status. These include extensive green spaces that tie in with the group’s design ethos of building up only 15 per cent of its land area. “This promotes privacy and a connection to nature while offering residents access to premium wellness services, thereby aligning with contemporary trends in luxury living,” explains Pattamasaevi.

Branded residences also maximise the value of their investment for UHNWIs, adds Tamthai, as they seek not only capital gains from the property appreciation. “Rental income with a rental programme, managed by experienced hotel operators,” he explains. “This allows owners to generate income from their properties while minimising the hassle of property management.”

Li reports that as per the Knight Frank Global Branded Residences Report, up to 45 per cent of buyers in Australasia are willing to pay a premium for branded residences, highlighting the growing trend in this segment.
As buyers continue to prioritise certain features as well as investment criteria, the luxury real estate trends that were partly accelerated by the pandemic are here to stay, notes Pattamasaevi. “Looking ahead to 2025, we anticipate continued interest in properties that prioritise wellness and sustainability.

“Buyers are increasingly seeking homes that offer not just luxury, but also holistic well-being and environmentally conscious design. This aligns with the overall trend of health-conscious living and investment in sustainable real estate,” he concludes.

9th December 2024 – Montara Hospitality Group’s PRU, the first and only Michelin recognised restaurant in Phuket, and the sustainable cuisine JAMPA, are pleased to announce the retention of their accolades in the latest release of The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025 edition.

Embracing the group ethos of “Dine Good Do Good,” PRU has consistently maintained a prestigious One MICHELIN Star since 2019 and earned a MICHELIN Green Star since 2021. JAMPA, honored with the MICHELIN Green Star in its inaugural year of operation, has upheld this distinction for four consecutive years, showcasing an enduring commitment to sustainability. With the release of the 2025 ratings, PRU and JAMPA reaffirm their dedication to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to their patrons in the vibrant gastronomic landscape of Thailand.

Under the leadership of Executive Chef Jimmy Ophorst, PRU has set a benchmark for sustainable fine dining in Thailand, featuring menus that exalt exceptional ingredients sourced from Phuket and across Thailand. With the 2025 revelation PRU stands as the only restaurant outside of Thailand’s capital with a Michelin Star and Green Star, Chef Jimmy Ophorst, also the Co-Owner of PRU, expressed, “This recognition is more than an accolade; it underscores our unwavering dedication to sustainable gastronomy and our mission to showcase the essence of Thailand through each dish.”

PRU’s open theater kitchen not only offers diners a firsthand view of the culinary artistry at work, allowing them to witness the transformation of rare Thai ingredients like fragrant peppercorns and hard-to-harvest ta-ko into exquisite dishes that captivate the senses but also provides an immersive dining experience accentuated by a dedicated staff, stunning vistas, and innovative utilization of Thai flavours. This combination results in a dining journey that transcends borders, attracting guests from around the world to savour the very best that Thailand offers. Moreover, PRU’s commitment to sustainability and community involvement is evident in the incorporation of locally crafted artisanal products such as lounge chairs, tiles, crockery, and cutlery. By championing these creations, PRU reinforces its ethos of sustainability and local support by introducing a community-to-fork experience.

By retaining the prestigious MICHELIN Green Star, JAMPA underscores its steadfast commitment to sustainability. Chef Rick Dingen, proud of his culinary ethos, expressed, “The MICHELIN Green Star symbolizes our dedication to champion sustainability and innovation in each culinary creation. This recognition validates our mission to craft zero-waste, farm-to-table cuisine that also respects our planet.”

Nestled within Phuket’s newest wellness community Tri Vananda, JAMPA embraces a farm-to-table philosophy, utilizing live fire cooking techniques to artfully transform locally sourced ingredients from their own farm and local farmers into wholesome and well-balanced dishes. Led by Chef Rick, the team at JAMPA diligently minimizes their environmental impact by adopting a zero-waste approach with a zero-carbon footprint. Enhancing the experience, the restaurant offers a unique Saturday event, HiDEAWAY by JAMPA, where guests can partake in a farm tour and relish a seasonal sharing-style menu served at an elegant al fresco table.

Montara Hospitality Group’s PRU and JAMPA shine in the latest MICHELIN Guide for Thailand 2025, maintaining their prestigious Green Star and one-star ratings. Under chefs Jimmy Ophorst and Rick Dingen, these restaurants blend culinary excellence with sustainability, showcasing Thailand’s essence through innovative, eco-conscious creations. As these restaurants continue to redefine fine dining and uphold their green initiatives, they reinforce their positions as leaders in the global culinary scene, inviting patrons to savour exceptional experiences that celebrate the best of Thai cuisine and hospitality.

PHUKET, THAILAND: Wellness tourism is in great shape. One of the fastest growing areas of the tourism industry, the sector has grown from a niche market for committed health seekers to become a THB 219 trillion (USD 6.3 trillion) global powerhouse. At the heart of this revolution is Asia Pacific, which accounts for 30% of the worldwide market and where pioneering destinations such as Phuket have successfully changed the face of wellness tourism.
TriVananda will also soon be home to Clinique La Prairie’s first Health Resort in South East Asia. “Clinique La Prairie’s longstanding expertise in longevity and their innovative approach makes them the ideal partner to achieve and realize our vision of establishing TriVananda as the gold standard for wellness hospitality in Asia,” said Kittisak Pattamasaevi, CEO of Montara Hospitality Group, who oversees TRISARA and TriVananda. “We recognize that there is a global stress epidemic at hand, and the negative affects it has on our individual health and wellbeing, and as a global community. TriVananda will be a place for people of all ages to heal, grow and learn.”

PHUKET, THAILAND, 26 April 2024 – Clinique La Prairie and Montara Hospitality Group are delighted to announce their partnership and the opening of a new Health Resort by Clinique La Prairie at Tri Vananda, in 2025.

Montara Hospitality Group is on track to become one of the biggest players in the wellness industry with its newest development Tri Vananda, a purpose-built wellness community in Phuket, Thailand, that emphasizes functional and integrative medicine, nutrition, cognitive health, and mindfulness. With 30 biophilic-designed residential units currently under construction in the first phase of development, it has signed a deal with Clinique La Prairie to operate the 40-villa resort projected for completion in 2025. Tri Vananda will raise the bar for luxury wellness with best-in-class facilities primed for multi-generational living. Sustainable and nature-centric in design, the low-density development will feature renewable energy facilities and a tiered wetland filtration system.

Clinique La Prairie was founded in 1931 by Dr Niehans, a pioneer in longevity, and has since become world renowned for its holistic and scientifically-grounded approach to preventative aging. With medical care as one of the four pillars of its holistic approach, Clinique La Prairie combines medical testing, expert consultations and medical therapies in all its programs, offering highly personalized care, science-driven treatments and long-term support to its clientele. With a luxury flagship in Montreux, Switzerland, spanning only 35 rooms and suites, the Swiss brand has expanded to operate satellite sites – known as Longevity Hubs by Clinique La Prairie – around the world, in Madrid, Bangkok, Doha, Taipei and most recently, Dubai. The Health Resort by Clinique La Prairie at Tri Vananda, Phuket, will be the first resort of its kind in Southeast Asia.

“Clinique La Prairie’s longstanding expertise in longevity and their innovative approach makes them the ideal partner to achieve and realize our vision of establishing Tri Vananda as the gold standard for wellness hospitality in Asia.” says Kittisak Pattamasaevi, CEO of Montara Hospitality Group. “We recognize that there is a global stress epidemic at hand, and the negative affects it has on our individual health and wellbeing, and as a global community. Tri Vananda will be a place for people of all ages to heal, grow and learn.”

According to the recent Global Wellness Institute report, wellness real estate is one of the fastest growing sectors in wellness and forecasted to surge in the next five years from USD398 billion market in 2022 to USD887.5 billion in 2027.

“Thailand has a longstanding reputation for its world-class holistic wellness and health retreats. Our partnership with Montara Hospitality Group at Tri Vananda allows us to offer something new for a discerning clientele to experience, redefining the luxury wellness industry in Asia.” said Simone Gibertoni, CEO of Clinique La Prairie.

Once development is completed, Tri Vananda will offer 70 residential villas, and the health resort comprising a comprehensive medical and wellness facilities for health diagnostics aimed at helping residents and guests live longer, healthier, and better lives through tailored programs. World class wellness facilities at the Health Resort by Clinique La Prairie at Tri Vananda will include a medical center with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, active movement center with an Olympic-size swimming pool, a wellness restaurant for personalized nutrition, a holistic wellbeing center, and a mindfulness center house in the iconic “Manorah” Grand Hall inspired by the local Thai heritage dance performance.

At Tri Vananda now are the first five private villas that showcase the two-, three-, and four- bedroom configurations to prospective buyers. The PRU JAMPA Community House, completed and opened in 2021, serves as a community gathering space for all ages and features a bar and lounge, swimming pool, Active Movement Center with Biocircuit AI technology by Technogym to automate and personalize equipment settings, community garden, outdoor playground, and function areas. Tweenies, a club dedicated to fostering an interest in pre-teens and teens to lead a wellness-centric lifestyle, helps younger generations understand the importance of health and mindfulness at an early age through immersive experiences.

Within PRU JAMPA Community House is MICHELIN Green Star-awarded restaurant JAMPA.
Helmed by chef Rick Dingen, each dish in the all-day dining concept is nutritionally balanced and crafted with peak seasonal ingredients sourced from PRU JAMPA farm at Tri Vananda, and a network of local farmers and fishermen. With sustainability at the core of JAMPA, a closed-loop system was established to ensure nothing goes to waste. Vegetable scraps are diverted to the chicken coup that supplies the restaurant daily with fresh eggs, and other organic matter is composted and used as fertilizer, reducing CO2 emissions, and underscoring the importance of pesticide-free farming.

As Tri Vananda sets the gold standard for luxury wellness in Asia, it signals a transformative shift to aspire to a more mindful and sustainable way of living.

PHUKET, Thailand 2024 – Montara Hospitality Group, the visionary owner of the prestigious Trisara resort, is spearheading a transformative sustainable dining movement in Phuket.
The group’s collection of acclaimed culinary concepts, including the highly regarded PRU and JAMPA, exhibits a philosophy of culinary excellence and environmental sustainability. Montara Hospitality Group’s food and beverage venues are all passionate about providing sustainably grown local artisanal produce, which the company refers to as “human-centric hospitality.”
Montara Hospitality Group has also earned a reputation for prioritizing sustainability at its food and beverage venues, with a substantial proportion of produce sourced from its 16,000 sqm Pru Jampa organic farm, located within the Tri Vananda boundaries.
“Culinary excellence becomes truly enriching when it harmonizes with the planet,” says Jimmy Ophorst, the Executive Chef at PRU. “At PRU we aim to bring our guests closer to the best ingredients Thailand has to offer.”
Montara Hospitality Group has long been known for its creative, conscientious approach to culinary. PRU, the signature restaurant, remains the only MICHELIN Red Star restaurant in Phuket, a status it has retained for six consecutive years. Recently relocated within Trisara, PRU, provides a one-of-a-kind community-to-fork experience, encouraging open interactions between chefs and guests and exemplifying transparency in the world of fine dining.
Another Montara Hospitality asset, the Tri Vananda wellness community, is home to JAMPA whose creed of “locally grown ingredients, live fire, and zero waste cuisine” has earned it a MICHELIN Green Star. JAMPA —overseen by chef Rick Dingen— is a beacon for zero-waste, farm-to-table, live-fire cooking. It innovates by using only live fire to transform local ingredients, almost entirely sourced from the Pru Jampa organic farm.

“Sustainable fine dining is a celebration of flavor that extends beyond the palate,” says Dingen. “It embraces the responsibility to nourish not only discerning tastes but also the delicate balance of our environment.”

These venues are being complemented by respective new, exciting concepts, such as the Mediterranean-inspired beachside venue CIELO — translating to “paradise” in Spanish. It shines through its commitment to contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, prepared by executive chef, Worawit “Notty” Rattanachoochoke with locally sourced ingredients from local farmers and producers to showcase the best of Asia’s bounty.
A refined Thai homestyle dining experience, SAT at Trisara, where the finest locally sourced ingredients are utilized for Southern Thai recipes that have been passed down through generations. Seafood At Trisara showcases the phenomenal seasonal ingredients Phuket and Thailand has to offer, both on land and sea.
Another new concept, DALA Bistro & Bar — which is named after the torch ginger flower indigenous to Phuket — showcases Thai flavors offering cocktails and coffee crafted from local terpenes and pan-Asian bites, alongside breathtaking sunset views. At DALA guests can observe the artistry of the bartenders and baristas as they craft exquisite drinks using local ingredients.
Montara Hospitality is confident the group’s spread of concepts can put Phuket firmly on the radar of conscientious gourmands worldwide. Indeed, all its food and beverage venues follow the group’s “Dine Good Do Good” philosophy which embraces the sourcing of local ingredients, using artisanal suppliers and being more ethically responsible.
“For those seeking a blend of gastronomic and ethical enlightenment, Trisara is not merely a destination but an immersive journey into the future of sustainable dining,” concludes chef Notty.

PHUKET, Thailand: December 13, 2023 – Montara Hospitality Group’s constellation of culinary stars is shining as brightly as ever following the MICHELIN Guide Thailand Revelation held in Bangkok today. At the grand unveiling, which took place this year at the Capella Bangkok, PRU, the signature community-to-fork dining venue at Trisara, the exclusive Phuket resort which is owned by Montara Hospitality, retained its MICHELIN red star. The restaurant, steered by Dutch chef Jimmy Ophorst, also held on to its MICHELIN Green Star, awarded for its strong commitment to sustainability.

Montara Hospitality Group Retain Star Power at MICHELIN Thailand Revelation. PRU, which just premiered its new purpose-built venue, is the only MICHELIN red star restaurant in Phuket, a status it has held for six consecutive years. There was good news too for JAMPA, which follows a philosophy of “locally-grown ingredients, live fire, and zero waste cuisine” at Tri Vananda, a US$182 million wellness community taking shape in the verdant forests of northern Phuket. The venue overseen by Rick Dingen retained its MICHELIN Green Star. “It’s an absolute honour for PRU to achieve such recognition from MICHELIN,” said Ophorst.

“It’s a tribute to everything that we have achieved as a team and also to our culinary philosophy. What we do at PRU is to create a unique dining experience by drawing inspiration from around Thailand. By discovering local ingredients and herbs that are not overly familiar, we can fuel our creativity.”

The accolades bestowed on the two venues are indicative of the standards PRU and JAMPA are setting for sustainable fine dining in Phuket. PRU has blazed a trail for sustainable fine dining in Thailand. And its latest “Inside-Out” experience, housed in a new purpose-built restaurant, dissolves the traditional wall between the kitchen and the dining room. With a theatre kitchen encouraging connections with guests, diners can see how each morsel is prepared, thereby providing complete transparency to the culinary process.

“We’ve come a long way to be where we are now,” added Ophorst. “But we want to look forward to attracting customers from around the world to Phuket with the objective of dining at PRU. Every chef wants to improve and push to the highest level possible and I’m no different. The creative scope that the new venue affords us means that the sky’s the limit.”

JAMPA, meanwhile, is a beacon for zero-waste, farm-to-table, live-fire cooking, manifesting what is sustainable culinary artistry. “I aim to showcase locally sourced, seasonal ingredients in the best way possible,” says Dingen, whose hyper-local, plant-focused, cuisine is marking him out as a rising star in Thailand.
